Order & Delivery Portal
Clickable prototype for “Mijn Portaal” — a customer portal that makes multi-delivery industrial-door orders legible from quote through invoicing.
A B2B manufacturer of certified utility doors (fire, sound, and smoke-resistant) for commercial construction needed a customer-facing portal. Orders in this business aren’t single shipments — one order can span multiple deliveries across different weeks and addresses as production completes in stages, and customers need visibility into exactly where each part of their order stands.
Design a clickable prototype for “Mijn Portaal,” a customer portal that makes a logistics-heavy, multi-delivery order process legible — from placing a quote through tracking each delivery to invoicing — without the complexity overwhelming the customer.
- Designed the design system first — visual and component foundation (NL-first content with EN toggle, light/dark theme, role-based pricing visibility)
- Designed the Dashboard with KPI overview, recent orders, and inbox-style notifications for delivery-week changes and status updates
- Designed the Orders list with logistics-first information architecture — order/quote number, next delivery week, address, roll-up status, and remaining deliveries
- Designed Order Detail with a labelled progress indicator and roll-up status derived from all suborders
- Designed Suborders as expandable, delivery-first cards with a production-line stepper (In Production → Ready for Delivery → In Delivery → Delivered)
- Designed an order-lines table built to scale to hundreds of line items, with sorting, sticky headers, and pagination
- Designed Quotes and Invoices views, linked back to originating orders, plus a separate first-run onboarding flow
- Delivered a fully clickable prototype covering the entire customer journey — dashboard, orders, multi-delivery tracking, quotes, invoices, and onboarding
- Built on a coherent design system from the outset, giving the client a concrete, testable design of how staged deliveries, production status, and role-based visibility could stay clear for non-technical customers
